Position Summary:

The Personal Care Aide (PCA) provides essential non-medical support services in clients’ homes. PCAs help clients maintain their independence by assisting with daily living activities while fostering a safe and nurturing environment in accordance with Zola’s mission and care standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist clients with daily personal care such as bathing, grooming, toileting, and dressing
  • Provide safe mobility assistance (e.g., transfers from bed to chair, walking support)
  • Prepare meals based on individual dietary needs and preferences
  • Perform light housekeeping tasks including laundry, vacuuming, and kitchen cleanup
  • Offer medication reminders (no direct administration)
  • Provide companionship and emotional support
  • Monitor client well-being and report any concerns or changes in condition to the supervisor
  • Document care activities and client interactions as directed by Zola’s protocols

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED preferred
  • PCA, HHA, or caregiver certification (as required by state regulations)
  • Current CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
  • Prior experience in home care, caregiving, or related field preferred
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Must be dependable, compassionate, and respectful
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation preferred

Schedule & Work Conditions:

  • Flexible part-time and full-time shifts available
  • May include evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • In-home setting – must be comfortable working independently
  • Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs and perform physical tasks associated with caregiving
